Out There With … :: Kathmandu
We’re Out There is Kathmandu’s positioning, based on the fact that nature makes us more open, free, and fun. To prove it, we took famous urbanites on journeys of discovery into niche outdoor subcultures. In each episode, we witness a specific community showing our host, and by proxy their following, how natural experiences and hobbies can transform their mood, their day or their whole life.
Beat 3 took us to New Zealand to Wim Hof with SWIDT and we learned way more than a technique to submerge in icy water. The members of the music collective from Onehunga opened up about how men in their culture are still taught to suppress their feelings. A powerful testimony that generated praise and conversation especially from the hip-hop community.
Each beat offered plenty of opportunities for engaging content: from competitions to win bespoke puffer jacket for your dog to music videos, a guide to identify poisonous mushrooms, quotes inspired by the wilderness, a guide of beaches that welcome your furry friends … We took them all!
If you got all the way here, why don’t you stay a bit longer and watch beats 1 and 2?
